When I first heard about The Orville - a Star Trek inspired sci-fi comedy drama - I was super excited. Y'all know how big a Star Trek fan I am. Then I heard it was by Seth MacFarlane, and I became wary. I love the first couple of seasons of Family Guy, but since its un-cancellation I haven't really liked much of his stuff. I was worried The Orville would just be more of that, but in space. Am I ever glad that it's not. Simply put, if you like 90's era Star Trek, there's a good chance you'll like this. Maybe it isn't for every single Star Trek fan, but I'd wager more will like it than won't. Personally, The Orville is probably my favorite show currently on TV.
