Do you remember the Sumas Round-Up? From the mid 1920s to the 1930s this annual cowboying extravaganza was a headliner rodeo event of international stature attracting cowboys and cowgirls from Canada and the USA to compete for big prize money and major awards. With a grandstand that could seat 8,000 attendees and held conveniently close to the Canadian border during prohibition, this event was a major entertainment attraction right here in Whatcom County. Presented by local historian Deb Morgan to the Whatcom County Historical Society on March 10th, 2016.
