Our newly finished basement flooded and I tackled the mitigation. There are several ways to tackle this and I suggest review your insurance and a mitigation company prior to following any of these steps. Our insurance will cover full removal and replacement of anything the water touched. Since the floor is so new we want to try and reuse as much material as possible and here’s how we’re doing it.
