Legoland Billund Resort, the original Legoland park, opened on 7 June 1968 in Billund, Denmark. The park is located next to the original Lego factory and Billund Airport, Denmark's second-busiest airport. Over 1.9 million guests visited the park in 2011, and 50 million guests have visited the park since it opened. This makes Legoland the largest tourist attraction in Denmark outside Copenhagen. The Legoland parks that have since been built are modelled upon Legoland Billund, most noticeably the Miniland area, which is made up of millions of plastic Lego bricks.

Legoland Florida, situated in Winter Haven, is a vibrant theme park designed for families, particularly those with children aged 2 to 12. It boasts over 50 rides, shows, and attractions inspired by LEGO brands and characters. The park also includes a water park and a botanical garden, making it the largest Legoland in the U.S., spread across 145 acres.

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with extended hours on weekends and summer months.
Parking fees: $25 for standard, $40 for preferred. Discounts available for motorcycles and RVs.

Pros: Perfect for young children, lower wait times compared to other parks, cost-effective with many promotions.
Cons: Limited attractions for teenagers, some rides have low capacity causing longer waits.

Peppa Pig Theme Park: Tailored for preschoolers, featuring gentle rides and shows centered around the popular Peppa Pig series.
Legoland Water Park: Adjacent to the main park, it includes a wave pool, lazy river, and slides suitable for all ages.

Ride information:
Pirate’s River Quest – (Average wait 53 minutes during spring break). It’s recommended to get in line about 10 minutes before the ride officially opens or within the last 5-10 minutes before it closes.
The Great Lego Race – (Average wait 35 minutes during spring break). Try to make this your first stop if arriving at rope drop or try to avoid afternoon peak times.
Coast Guard Academy – (Average wait 25 Minutes during spring break). Best to prioritise for the first hour.
Aquazone Wave Racers (Average wait 24 Minutes during spring break). This ride often won’t open until 11. Best to prioritise in that first hour.
Coastersaurus – (Average wait 23 minutes during spring break). Best to prioritise within the first two hours of park opening.
