Описание к видео E10 fuel: Will it damage your car?

#E10 #fuel - a 10% content of ethanol in petrol / gasoline is now mainstream in UK petrol fuel stations. There are lots of #questions and concerns how it may affect vehicles. E10 has been around for decades in the U.S as we'll see in this video. So what do you need to know about E10 fuel and how it will affect your car? This video takes a look at some key components to understand what can be affected and how, so you know what to look out for and what action to take.
In one of the main examples in this video, we find through the owners manual of this 1980 Chevy GM v8 sbc (small block chevy) Pickup truck that E10 can be used from the factory - over 40 years ago.
What does your owner's manual say?
Even if your vehicle is good to use with E10, it's worth noting the use of vehicle. If it will sit for a long time, consider a fuel stabiliser or maybe even drain the tank if sat for longer periods. Keep an eye on the condition of rubber hoses. Even though they be rated for E10, they still deteriorate over time so will need changing to the correct spec. SAE J30 R6 is rated for up to E10. SAE J30R7 is rated for E10. SAE J30 R9 is rated for E85. All three are rated for underhood temps. SAE J30 R10 is good for E10 and maybe higher but is not designed for underhood temps.
