In order to encourage recycling and reduce waste and litter, Norway has implemented a deposit on most bottles and cans. To facilitate the return they have automated stations that you can return the bottles to for a return of the deposit. We check one of these out for the first time and manage to stumble our way through and accomplish the process. It was a pretty nifty gadget.
