Another gem for the BBC archive highlighting the self-help co-operative initiatives created in the Upper Springfield.

Fr Des always said the people of West Belfast done more to help themselves than in any other part of Belfast; I think this amazing film demonstrates that well.

Sadly the Industrial estate was taken over by the British Army to build a fort despite two others being in the area. They gave the businesses 24 hours to get out. The link below shows the army take over.
