Star Gazer - Late Night Ambient with Novation Peak // Korg MS20 // Moog Grand/Mother32...

Autumn is here... Nights come quicker and the stars shine longer...

I made this soft, gently pitch shifting patch on the Novation Peak a couple of days ago and tonight I sat down to see if I could use it for anything. I programmed a simple bass sequence on the Mother 32 which I could trigger when I wanted, and use the arp on the Grandmother. The filter cutoff of the Grandmother was patched to an LFO on the Mother32, which gives a slow organic pulsing life to the arp. Korg MS20 was used for improvised jamming. Strymon Volante gives an old time echo to Grandmother, while the Chase Bliss Mood adds a soundscape to the MS20 lead. I play the Novation Peak live using the Keystep, which is the keyboard under the Grandmother. That's the theory, anyway! :)

I didn't plan to record this, but something seemed to be happening, so I got the camera out...
