Sausage, Egg, Chips and Beans

Sausage, egg, chips and beans isn't exactly a classic dish, but it is quite common in a certain kind of café, and people certainly make it at home. It's just basic, basic food (aka grub, nosh, scran), peasant food? Well, we don't call anybody a peasant in the UK these days, but you would definitely associate sausage, egg, chips and beans with 'the working class'. Even though nobody knows what that really means any more. Sausage, egg, chips and beans - cheap, easy to make, wholesome, filling food - what's not to like?
