Eastern Music DG mouthpieces

Описание к видео Eastern Music DG mouthpieces

For the last few months or so I've been geeking out on the Eastern Music Mouthpieces. Are they the best mouthpieces I've ever played? NOOOO!! Are they pretty amazing for their price point? YESSS! It's been fun messing around on these mouthpieces and they definitely will have a place in my arsenal going forward. 😉
These are Eastern Music's take on a couple of Dave Guardala's classic mouthpieces. For the video, I used the same reed (Marca Jazz 2 1/2) on each mouthpiece. I'm guessing the tip opening is about a .105 - .108. The tenor saxophone is also from Eastern Music. I have no idea what model. 🤷‍♂️ I've found that these mouthpieces (in my hands) do a certain thing very well! And while I could definitely play them in a more acoustic, swing jazz environment, they wouldn't be my first choice. But if I want a brighter sound with some depth and volume, these pieces have that aspect covered!!
So if you're thinking of stepping into getting an edgier, brighter and louder sound, check these out before you spend the BIG bucks on some of those vaulted classics or the newer powerhouse mouthpieces. You may be surprised and if nothing else it's a low cost way to point you towards achieving a sound you may be searching for.
