A series of hallucinations, remembrances, recollections, false memories, visions, prophecies, and completely dissociative states, this story reads more like a psychological thriller than a typical Warhammer story. The lore is spectacular, and it seems to respect what has already been said while also offering us a fresh perspective on the subject of the Black Rage.

Those who follow Warhammer 40K, and Blood Angels lore, will know that the death of the Great Angel Sanguinius is one of the most tragic moments in the setting. But now, seeing it through the lens of someone it is actually happening to, is a fresh and much welcomed take that adds a lot of depth to the situation.
