"In a session titled “How Does International Human Rights Law Make a Difference in the World?,” a panel of international experts, including Tyler Giannini, Clinical Professor of Law at HLS and Co-Director of HLS's Human Rights Program; Yale Law Professor Harold Koh ‘80, former legal adviser of the Department of State; Viviana Krsticevic LL.M. ‘93, executive director of CEJIL; University of Buffalo Law Professor Makau Mutua LL.M. ‘85, S.J.D. ‘87, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; and Harvard Kennedy School Professor Kathryn Sikkink discussed whether and how international human rights law has real world effects in preventing and redressing human rights abuses. Gerald Neuman ‘80, J. Sinclair Armstrong Professor of International, Foreign, and Comparative Law at Harvard Law School, moderated.
