This is my sweet acne patient. With my severe acne patients with over 1000 clogged pores, we do multiple extraction sessions every 1-2 weeks, while we wait for the topical retinoids to reduce oil production and improve their acne. This process can take 2-4 months for severe patients, but getting all that Keratin out greatly reduces pore size, possible scarring, and slows possible inflammatory nodules from forming.
