Transcript:

At a weight of 1 ⅓ pounds and a length of about 11 ½ inches, your baby is now as long as an ear of corn. Much of baby's weekly weight gain is coming from accumulating body fat, as well as from growing organs, bones and muscle.

Where does all that baby growing leave you? Most likely a little achy, especially in your lower abdomen and around the side. Called round ligament pain, it's from the stretching of the ligaments supporting your fast-expanding uterus. Think of it as pregnancy growing pains.

Back to baby: By now, your little one's precious face is almost fully formed, complete with a full set of eyelashes and eyebrows and a good sprinkling of hair on that little head. Will your baby's hair be black, brown, blond or red? Too early to call. Right now, all baby hair is snow white, since there's no pigment yet.

And here's a breaking baby brain bulletin: If you were to measure your little one's brainwave activity, you'd see that it's similar to that of a newborn infant. Couple that with an amped-up auditory system, and it's no wonder that babies who hear a certain song often while in utero recognize and are calmed by that same music when they're born.
