Here is a quick and simple video on how to change the dead / weak battery in your BMW key fob. This specific one is grey but the process is the same for any fob that looks like this one. You will need a new 2450 coin cell battery and a small screwdriver. First order of business is to remove the mechanical key by pressing the small button on the back and pull it out. Then you have access to the small tabs on the back cover. Use the key or a screwdriver to pry those off. Now you have access to your 2450 battery. Take out the old and and replace it with a new one + side facing upward. Clip the back portion back on and you're all set! No need to reprogram! Hope you found the video helpful.
