CRITICAL ELECTRICAL CODE VIOLATION: Recessed Main Panel [NEC 314.20, 312.3 & 110.3(B)]

SAFETY ALERT: A 1/2" gap between panel cover and actual panel creates a serious fire hazard. This isn't about being "picky" - it's about preventing catastrophic fires.

WHY THIS IS DANGEROUS:
• Electrical arcs can reach 35,000°F - hotter than the surface of the sun
• Panel gaps create a "chimney effect" for superheated gases
• These gases can instantly ignite wooden studs inside walls

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• NEC 312.4 requires flush mounting in combustible walls
• All knockout holes must be properly sealed
• Extension rings required when needed for flush fit
• Panel cover must securely seal when closed
• No gaps allowed between cover and box
