To be honest with you this video has went through several rewrites
This was originally recorded a long time ago then I rerouted around the game awards and we wrote A lot of it again after replaying through the

original God of War 1

Which give me a better perspective because a long time ago when I proposed this idea I had second thoughts and went to a big God of War YouTuber

under the mayo

because he had better experience than this subject and I personally never played the games and he recommended playing the original games before talking about how they could be remade which give me a better insight on how I should approach this video which caused a massive delay in it for a very long time until now

That I've played the original and I dug up as much research as I could from not only David jaffe but other God of War YouTubers on things that worked about the game and also things that didn't work for slight changes that I would make to it

None of this video is completely the definitive way of how to remake the game a lot of this is based on my own personal biases and ideas that I had because there are a lot of elements of the original God of War that I don't like coming from my own opinion but also not just that but things I do like when I'm playing other games.

But I don't want to change God of War to benefit my own opinion so I tried to find a middle ground of keeping a remake mostly faithful to what made it work initially will also tweaking The narrative ever so slightly to make it work a little bit better than the

original.. like refining the opening ever so slightly.. where I did want to pull an idea that David jaffe had about where you actually walk kratos to the cliff.. but it got cut due to time this was a very ambitious and very interesting project which a lot of the elements are trying to keep it mostly faithful to the original like the combat designs and other things will also still having my own opinion thrown in the mix like with the camera..

and how it could be messed around with to make it better for certain players for a remake where gameplay is mainly about gameplay and cameras aren't meant to always go

for the scope and the cinematography they're meant to compliment the gameplay and God of War most of the time it was the reverse of that which is something that I wanted to find a right balance because the cinematography was a staple of the series and at the same time it could take away from the gameplay

experience am I on personal opinion but at the same time having motion sickness with a big reason why I didn't like that camera style
But I will say none of this is meant to say that this is the way they should properly do it because

obviously you won't know until it eventually gets made but this is my way of how it could be done with flight compromises and things that pull from what the newest series of games did well without making the remake too much like them keeping it close to how a god of war 1 would have been made now with all the things that have changed with games
