Описание к видео SANDRA MAE FRANK - Proud to be Deaf + Queer!

At Morpheyes Studio we are humbled, honored, and excited that many of you took the time to share your stories with us and the community. This series would not be possible without your enthusiasm and vulnerability. Our aim is to show young Deaf Queer people that they are not alone in the world, and give them hope through representation.
Here is one of the many beautiful stories shared with us -- by Sandra Mae Frank!

DESCRIPTIVE TRANSCRIPT:
(The logo of a heart with Pride flag stripes and an outline of an ear in one half of the heart appears on a white background again. The heart logo spins and slides left and right, revealing the words “DEAF + QUEER” in funky black lettering. The heart logo slides up above the title. Then appears a person with short curled brown and pink hair wearing a black tank top and a necklace, with a grey curtained background and pictures on the wall to their left.)
"I’m proud to be Deaf and Queer because THAT’s who I am, trubiz! You know, I just figured that out about myself two years ago. When I was growing up, I would always say I have no labels. I believe love is love. I am attracted to all kinds of people. But I admit that something inside me was missing -- I just didn’t know it until two years ago. Someone mentioned the term “pansexual” and I was struck by that. As I analyzed that word and myself, I realized, YES! That is who I am! That fits exactly what I feel, exactly who I am! I remember that feeling. The second I embraced that, the second I was able to express myself openly and clearly -- wow...I thought, “YES!” I finally felt complete. I finally understand myself better. I finally started to realize that how I think, how I express myself, how I see the world, and who I’m attracted to, too -- it makes sense! I did question why I didn’t recognize that in myself before. I grew up in the Queer community, but I was just used to it. I did not really look into myself and introspect. Until now! I finally feel complete. You will always learn more about yourself every day -- be vulnerable and keep analyzing how you feel to show who you really are."
(Sandra Mae smiles at the camera with her hands over her heart, shaking her head slightly as she smiles. Fade. The logo of a heart with Pride flag stripes and an outline of an ear in one half of the heart appears on a white background again, above the words “DEAF + QUEER” in funky black lettering. End.)
