আমাদের বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রের গুনী এক অভিনেত্রী। তার বাবা বড় আদর করে মেয়ের আসল নাম রেখেছিলেন চান্দ সুলতানা। ৫০ দশকে পাবনায় এক মুসলিম পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। চার ভাই তিন বোন এর মধ্যে সবার বড় হলেন চান্দ সুলতানা। সুলতানার বাবা বাংলাদেশের কিন্তু মা এর বাড়ি কলকাতা। পরিবারটি ছিল সংস্কৃতিমনা। ৬০ দশকে ছোট্ট শিশু সুলতানার স্কুলের এক অনুষ্ঠানে পারফর্ম দেখে তৎকালীন ডাকসাইটে অভিনেত্রী রাণী সরকার চলচ্চিত্রে আসার প্রস্তাব দেন। অপরিচিতা ছায়াছবি তে সেই ছোট্ট সুলতানা প্রথম অভিনয় করেন। এভাবেই চলচ্চিত্রে তাঁর পথচলা শুরু।

Actress sultana -
A talented actress of our Bengali films. Her father lovingly named her daughter Chand Sultana. Born in a Muslim family in Pabna in the 1950s. Chand Sultana is the eldest among four brothers and three sisters. Sultana's father is from Bangladesh but her mother is from Kolkata.The family was cultured. In the 60s, after seeing Sultana's performance in a school function, actress Rani Sarkar offered her a role in the film industry. The little Sultana made her debut in the movie Aparichita. This is how his journey in films began.
