Cool tomb.
Deep within this autumn night I sense
the cool tomb.
Seeking sound but hearing only silence in my
dark room,
I feel a warm breath
in the cool tomb.

Warm air!
Recalling summer’s light and life I feel
the warm air.
Desiring sight of friendly arms I fear are
not there,
I feel the close touch
of the warm air.

Dead still.
Awaiting winter’s endless night that is so
dead still.
Lying motionless within my room,
I feel the soft stir
of the warm air
in my cool tomb.
