The Hearst Lodge Scenic Footpath follows along the banks of the Big Salmon River. On its way to the Hearst Lodge it passes by several deep salmon pools. There are several places comes out by the river and provides amazing views of the deep valley. We continued on past the lodge that took us to the Rody Bar Lookout where Rody Brook flows into the river.

In closing, most of us took an alternate route via the Cranberry Trail which, once we walked down the 300 steps, we arrived on a section of the Fundy Footpath that led us to the start/finish of the popular long distance Fundy Footpath trail and coming full circle to the suspension bridge.
