Hi - I'm Ashley. I started fostering animals several ago. I now foster and volunteer on-site exclusively through the Denver Animal Shelter because their philosophy of focusing on support for local animals and families through programs that seek to reduce the number of animals surrendered or abandoned at the shelter aligns with my values.

Still, the shelter sees A LOT of animals come in on a daily basis. It's a lot of work and the amount of care and compassion that is given to every animal that arrives at the shelter is enormous.
