🤯🤯🤯 In this snippet from the most recent episode of my podcast (Fundamental Health- available on iTunes and everywhere) I discuss ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CONCEPTS  from my new book, The Carnivore Code (out now! http://www.thecarnivorecodebook.com )! So often we are told about the “magical” benefits of plant derived molecules (like sulforaphane 🥦 and resveratrol) without being told about the SIDE EFFECTS these compounds can have in our body. Wait, what? Plant molecules can have side effects? You BET! Just like any pharmaceutical molecule we put into our body (be it from plants, fungi, or synthetic) there’s going to be a “package insert” (just like you get with meds from a pharmacy) of side effects with plant molecules too, and very often these side effects are NOT PRETTY 😭. The problem here is that supplement manufacturers only ever focus on the intended effect of a compound and neglect to discuss SIDE EFFECTS that may be damaging for us! They don’t have to give us the “package insert” because these compounds are not regulated by the FDA like classic pharmaceuticals. In The Carnivore Code I discuss many of these side effects and highlight ways in which molecules like sulforaphane and resveratrol can also be harming us! I also discuss how I do not believe we need these molecules to be
“optimal” and don’t buy into the concept of xenohormesis (I also discussed this with @davidsinclairphd and posted a snippet of that discussion previously. What do you guys think?
