Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) President Bashir Ahmad strongly rejected the development claims made by the NC-led government. He said that despite more than a year in power, the situation on the ground tells a completely different story.

Bashir Ahmad alleged that development has come to a standstill, basic facilities are lacking, and people are facing serious hardships. He claimed that complaints are piling up across several districts, but the government has failed to provide any effective response or accountability.

Highlighting growing public dissatisfaction, he said that Jammu and Kashmir needs a government that wins public trust through action, not just statements. He added that the present government has failed to live up to people’s expectations and called for a more responsive and accountable administration.
