Ingredients for our Christmas Eve mushroom soup recipe:

200g dried forest mushrooms
2 shallots
3 small carrots
2 parsnips
2 bay leaves
5 grains of allspice
5 grains of black pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 litres water
salt to taste
square pasta (łazanki) or thin egg noodles
