Every year, UC Davis undergraduate engineering students have the opportunity to display their work at an engineering design showcase in June. This year, a team of biomedical engineers decided to take on the challenge of creating a prosthetic eye that not only looks good, but has a built in blinking mechanism. This groundbreaking prosthetic offers an aesthetically pleasing alternative to other static, non-blinking prostheses available on the market today.
