In this video I create a feedback loop on an analog mixer —so called no-input mixing— and turn these recordings into 2 sampled instruments in Ableton Live. I use a little old mixer, Behringer Xenyx QX1002, but any analog mixer will do, just make sure you're not too attached to it, because you could damage it when using this technique. Also, monitor your output levels carefully since no-input mixing gets wild pretty quickly. Doing small sound design sessions help me to stay creative and create my own palette of sounds without the pressure of creating a finished song. Time stamps below!
