Some images showed the Kaaba submerged in water. They claim that the Holy Kaaba was submerged and severely damaged by flooding, and that the Saudi authorities have issued an urgent order to close the Grand Mosque as well as the Kaaba. But this is not true. While, the city of Makkah was affected by flooding, the disaster did not reach the Holy Kaaba. There was a lot of rain at the Kaaba, but it was not severe enough to stop the religious activities.
