Описание к видео Jason Terry: One of the GREATEST SIXTH MEN EVER was the PERFECT SIDEKICK to Dirk Nowitzki | FPP

One of the longest and most durable careers in basletball, Jason Terry spent 4 years at the University of Arizona as a Wildcat, where as a sophomore, he played alongside Mike Bibby, Michael Dickerson and Miles Simon as the Wildcats won the 1997 NCAA National Championship. He spent two more years there after that under Lute Olson and would play with a freshman Richard Jefferson as a senior. He would be drafted to an Atlanta Hawks team who were transitioning out of an era as guys like Steve Smith and Mookie Blaylock were gone by the time Terry got there and franchise legend Dikembe Mutombo would be on his way out. During his time in Atlanta, Terry teamed up with Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Glenn Robinson and Stephen Jackson, but the team didn’t win. Then before the 2005 season, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where for the next 8 years he would team up with Dirk Nowitzki and play the role of sidekick to perfection. Terry and the Mavs made it to the 2006 NBA Finals where they los to the Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade led Miami Heat. Then in 2009, Terry would be recognized for his incredible bench play as he was NBA sixth man of the year. In 2011, the Mavs were back in the NBA Finals and this time would defeat the Miami Heat big three consisting of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. As the 2011 NBA Championship would be the first in franchise history. Terry would spend the rest of his career in a valuable bench role on the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks before calling it a career after 19 seasons. He was one of the greatest shooters and greatest sixth men of all time, but for some reason isn’t remembered the way he should be. You always knew what to expect from him with his durability and consistency and he always knew how to control the crowd. So, that’s why he deserves more shine on today’s episode.
