RARE Stevie Ray Vaughan Marc Benno & Nightcrawlers Slammer Jammer

Stevie was in Benno's band "The Nightcrawlers" in 1973 and two albums were recorded that were never released. In 2005 Benno toured Japan and had this CD available for purchase only at his concerts, comprising songs from both album sessions. Only 1000 discs were made, apparently only 800 were sold, the rest were destroyed (I was lucky enough to buy 5 from Tom's Cabin's online store before it was pulled) In 2006 Benno released the album in the US with new artwork. Those lucky enough to get the Japanese CD discovered that there was a track that was dropped from the US release. The song was audibly flawed on the Japanese CD, which is presumably why it was dropped from the broader US release. The song was so badly damaged that it was basically unlistenable, which is a shame because it was (to my ears at least) one of the highlights of the album. It took me a couple of hours, but I've fixed the song up. It's not 100% but now the flaws don't detract from the music, and the song is a joy to listen to. Mr Benno, if you want to re-release the album, feel free to include my restored version...
