I am using an 18" x 24" stretched canvas. The black paint used to create this artwork is Meeden black acrylic paint mixed with a pouring medium consisting of 3/4 Flortrol and 1/4 Gac 800.
Also included an added 1-2% distilled water, offering excellent cell-making capacity as an alternative.
All the paints I use are acrylic paints mixed with additives to help them flow more easily. All my colors are stored and mixed in squeeze bottles for ease of use. I advise a well-ventilated room and those with respiratory issues to avoid or use a respirator.

The "pouring" mixture recipe I generally use to mix all my colors is 3/4 Floetrol with 1/4 (estimated) GAC800 from "Golden" (prevents cracking and adds shine to dry artwork.)mix it in thoroughly.
Amounts will always depend on the viscosity and color saturation of the acrylic paint used, so the amounts of color needed will vary.
I use plastic squeeze bottles with measurements on the side. I add a marble into the bottle to aid in the mixing process. Marbles work well but exercise caution if you end up with more than one because they will shatter in the mixture eventually. It's imperative (Important) that all mixture be shaken thoroughly again before using in any session every time! The consistency is usually medium "body" weight, but other weights are usable with minor adjustments.

All my acrylic paints are mixed in squeeze bottles in advance and contained and stored in squeeze bottles for ease of use.
