This significant development, also mirrored by a motion signed by over 145 Lok Sabha MPs, follows allegations of misconduct against Justice Varma after burnt currency notes were reportedly found at his residence. While an in-house inquiry committee found him guilty, Justice Varma denies the allegations and has challenged the report in the Supreme Court, initiating a rare and complex parliamentary procedure for judicial removal.
