[4K] Rio Grande Train in Tornado Springs, join us for a festive ride on this classic Rio Grande loco as we travel on a Christmas journey through the heart of Tornado Springs, into the woods and around Little Africa and Peppa Pig World.

The Rio Grande Train is one of the oldest rides in Paultons Park, opening in 1987. The train ride closed in 2019 due to the construction of the Tornado Springs area and reopened on April 12th 2021 fully refurbished with onboard audio. The Severn-Lamb train was also repainted from blue to red for the reopening.

Originally planned for a May 2020 opening, this ride and the whole Tornado Springs area was delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and it’s opening date was pushed back to April 12th 2021.

Height restrictions for this ride are 0.8 meters. Guests must be over 1.2 meters to ride alone and be between 6 and 12 years old. Guests over 13 years old can not ride alone and must be accompanied by a child aged under 13 years old.

Tornado Springs is a brand new world at Paultons Park. Originally planned for a May 2020 opening, the ride and the whole Tornado Springs area was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It's opening date was April 12th 2021.

Set in a midwest desert resort town in the American heyday of the 1950s, the new area features 7 rides including a spinning coaster, gyro swing ride and a driving school. The area also includes 2 play parks, Junkyard Junction and Parking Lot Tots, a restaurant, Route 83 Diner and a shop, Al's Shop and Service where guests can purchase souvenirs and a Driving License for Al's Auto Academy. Driving License cost £12 but there are reductions for multiple photo purchases.

The new area is due to be expanded in 2022 with a new junior coaster opening called Farmyard Flyer.

Tornado Springs is part of Paultons Park, Home of Peppa Pig World, which is the UK’s number 1 family theme park located in Hampshire with over 70 rides and attractions set within 140 acres of parkland on the edge of the New Forest. Tornado Springs is included in the entry fee.
