It took a long time for me to get comfortable coming out about how my fitness life is so vastly different than what you've come to expect from me over the years. And now, I'm on a mission to share this revelation with others because I've seen how it has changed MY fitness life and that of my clients.

I know firsthand the pitfalls of chasing superficial ideals and the damaging impact it can have on both body and soul.

But I've also witnessed the profound joy and liberation that comes from aligning our fitness goals with a purpose greater than anything our physical bodies can achieve.

A few people have asked me, how does faith and fitness REALLY play together? Well, it all comes down to one scripture that ignited it all within me.

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Like so many women, I wasted YEARS of my life hating my body. Picking out every flaw. Running it into the ground with extreme dieting and training. Chased perfection. Had a "whatever it takes" mentality.

I was obsessed with my body. I idolized my body. And I made a graven idol of my fitness journey in a way that was overall detrimental to my health and sanity.

I've felt so much shame for some time about this. But admitting it, asking for forgiveness, but most of all forgiving myself - and then changing my ways - has been the shift that allows me to stand here today loving the one body I have.

So let me share with you a deeper message around this that I only help inspire you too - no matter what your spiritual beliefs.
