Dos and Don'ts of Shabbaraat- Laylatul Bara'

The night before the 14th day of the Arabic month of Sha'ban is commonly called 'Shabbarat' or 'Laylatul Baraat' (ليلة البراءة). The word 'Shabbarat' is Persian. It means the night of Hissah or guidance. The second word is Arabic. Which means the night of separation or liberation.

In this country, Shabbat is celebrated as 'Saubhagya Rajni'. A public holiday is declared for this. People believe that on this night, the sins of the servant are forgiven.

Life expectancy and sustenance are increased. The fate of the entire year is recorded. On this night the spirits come down to earth to meet with all their relatives.

Widows in particular believe that their husbands' spirits return home that night. That is why the widows keep their chests closed all night hoping for the arrival of the dead husband's soul. The residence is lit with incense, incense, candles etc. Illumination is done by burning countless bulbs.

Relatives rush to the cemetery in groups. The dough of halwa-bread falls. The boys spent the night in a frenzy by bursting firecrackers. Those who are never used to praying, they also go to the mosque that night and pray 'Shalat Alfiyyah' (الصلاة الألفية) or 100 Rak'at Salat.

Where Surah Ikhlas is recited 10 times in every rak'ah. In short, this is the real picture of the Islamic festival known as Shabbat in this country. They are all ignorance.

In general, it is Sunnah to observe more nafal shiyaam in the month of Sha'ban. It is contrary to the Sunnah to specify any day or night for fasting and worship without Sahih evidence. Of course, those who are used to nafal shiyaam on the three days of ``Aiyam Biya'', will observe shiyaam on the 13th, 14th and 15th of Sha'baan for that purpose, not for the purpose of Shabbat.
