Russell "Day Long" Seat - R1200RTW

Yes-- I finally bit the bullet and bought an upgrade that so many touring riders consider - a custom seat. Don't get me wrong, I really loved my Sargent , but after 6 hours, even it can start to press hot spots into me. If you are one of the lucky ones, (or maybe the younger ones), your stock seat does a miraculous job of making your long days in the saddle perfect. I am not so lucky.
This is the answer to my prayers, and I cannot see going without it if I continue to ride like I do now.
Yes it has its drawbacks - the construction takes a couple weeks, and the lead time to do the work can be several months. It also changes the look of the bike, but I prefer function over form. I am a happy lad!
Hopefully i will be reporting on a few other "upgrades" in the coming weeks.
