In Niger Republic, the Economic Community of West African States has called for the immediate release and reinstatement of Mohammed Bazoum as the legitimate and democratically elected President of Niger Republic.
The regional body also imposed stiff sanctions on the Niger Republic, which includes a no-fly zone over the country, and an option to use force if the coup plotters fail to relinquish power within one week.
