This poem was written and recorded by me, Del Ray Cross. As of January 2026, it is one of over 4,925 poems in 'ANACHRONIZMS,' an ongoing, multi-universal autobiographical collage of poems I first began writing in 2002. a blog which, having first appeared in July of 2005, has now been online with regularly posted new work for over twenty years. Since its inception, I have continued to build upon this project by writing and posting a poem to it nearly every day. Each of the poems has been presented atop an original photograph since late 2011.

This poem was originally posted onto the ANACHRONIZMS blog on November 27, 2009 and was recorded by me on December 30, 2025.

This video resides in one of two YouTube playlists that also include all of the ANACHRONIZMS to date. I started recording and compiling them several years ago, and the YouTube playlists now act as companions to the ANACHRONIZMS blog. However, I have been embedding each of these recordings with each original posted poem within the blog itself, which, when caught up, will combine the project into a singular publication (and as I type this, I am about 90% finished putting in the video recordings into each post). The sum of the recorded poems (occasionally posted in duplicate and even triplicate thanks to the author's minimal capacity for memory and prudent planning) are a complete and non-chronological assortment of all of the poems from the blog up to -- or nearly up to -- the last poems posted to it.
