How Dog Collar GPS Tracking and Navigation Works

Описание к видео How Dog Collar GPS Tracking and Navigation Works

The navigation and tracking system installed in the Halo Collar is designed to keep your dogs safely inside of their wireless fences, and steer them back to safety if they try to leave. You can track your dog's location through the Halo Collar App. Note that there are multiple connection types that your GPS dog collar may use to communicate with the Halo App, all of which impact what you see on the My Map screen.

When your collar is connected to your phone directly via Bluetooth, the app will update once every second, providing you with accurate, real-time tracking.

When your GPS dog collar is connected to your phone using Wi-Fi, the app will receive an update every seven seconds, whereas it will receive an update every 15 seconds if your collar is using a cellular connection.

You can push the Refresh button on the My Map screen to see your dog’s current location at any time, regardless of connection type. When you do this, your Pet Pin might appear to jump from its last reported location to the most up-to-date location.

Note that anytime that your dog sits still or remains in one location, their Halo will send location updates less frequently than specified above; however, normal updates will immediately resume once your dog begins to move around again.

When you bring a Halo Collar indoors, it will enter indoor GPS mode, and your dog's Pet Pin will stop moving around the map. Your pup’s last outdoor location will be displayed on the map, along with the indoor GPS mode indicator.
