Boy Scout Sam Hess talks to Scott, a Trout fisherman, fishing in Scottsville Lake. Not long before this clip, Scott had taken a walk on the newly completed Eagle Trail. The Eagle Trail is part of the service project that Sam and his team created in the Van Clief Nature Area, in Scottsville, Va.

Previously, if you walked around the lake you had to cross a difficult to cross stream and a small ravine. Sam's project included the installation of : 11 directional signs, 2 foot bridges, stepping stones, and the the creation of the Eagle trail.

On October 20th, Sam was on site with Town Councillor Dan Gritsko and Raymond, the grandfather of another scout, who helped Sam with some of the design work on the bridges. We were all on site to review Sam' s completed work. In this clip, Sam has a chance to talk with Scott, one of the first users of the new trail.

Thank you Sam!!!!!!, for the hard work. Sam said he wanted a to do project that would make a difference, and it's wonderful to note that even from day 1 of usage, it already has.
