The problem was... everything! It all started in December when trees were flying off the lot. I had to get a Canaan Fir instead of my regular Fraser Fir, known for a their stiffer branches for heavy ornaments. I’ll work around it with black yarn which is invisible and holds up the weak branches. My doctor put me on Wegovy in mid December the 1st month went fine the 2nd month I went up 25%, slept 48 straight without eating or drinking. Within 4 days, I was in the hospital. The tree went without water, and sagged, and sagged, and sagged and sagged. When I returned home the bottom branches were laying on the train! Strings of lights near the bottom of the tree... slipped off. All the village houses under tree were not visible. I was too weak too work on it, but when I regained strength, I plugged in the tree, and 2 of the village houses lights were burnt out!

Wait, It gets better. So I got my shears and started cutting off 100s of branches at the bottom of the tree to rescue the train. Got Andy The Train out, set him in a safe place and continued on. Then in one fatal chop I cut right through a strings of lights. Zot, poof, all the tree lights went out! I unplugged tree, stripped the wires, wired them back together, taped it all up with electrical tape. Plugged the tree back in... nothing. No lights. Sigh.

So I started removing lights from the bottom up to the middle of the tree. Found the bad strings repaired others. Of course many ornaments fell off while removing the lights. Then I accidently kicked the train track moving it and the snow one inch to the right. So I immediately went to my tool box, and got a hammer and 2 nails. Moved that track back into place and nailed it to the floor.

Repair Day... with a tube of Crazy Glue I repaired the white Nutcracker who had lost his legs. The Crescent Moon’s braided twine loop holder, and a heavy glass green Christmas tree that sits near Woodbury Button Co. House and a cluster of 3 white glass trees on a speaker in my living room. Then I started the painstaking task of repairing the lights. I found strings where the 1st 50 worked, the 2nd fifty didn’t. And vice versa. I made strings of 100 by splicing 2 50's together. I made strings of 50, by chopping off the last 50 (of a string of 100) that didn’t work, to make a heathy string of 50.

The Soundtrack. This year I wanted to feature my new ceramic Christmas tree on my dining room table. My family use to have one when I was a little boy in the 1970s in Jackson, MI. In June of 2025 I hard wired my dining room table to feature electrical items. So I struggled with the soundtrack until I had an eureka moment! “O Christmas Tree,” 3 versions on pipe organs. Tracks 1 & 3 are on Theater Organs, and track 2 is on a traditional organ.
