If you ever sit down to make handmade cards and feel stuck before you even start, this video is for you.
Today I’m sharing a simple, versatile card sketch that takes the guesswork out of card making and helps you actually use the patterned paper you already own. This is one of those card sketches you’ll come back to again and again because it works for so many styles, occasions, and stamp sets.
In this video, I walk you through the card sketch step by step and then show you four different finished cards using the same layout. Same sketch. Totally different looks. That’s the magic of a good card template.
This sketch is especially perfect if you love paper crafting with patterned paper, because the layered squares let the designs shine without feeling busy or overwhelming. It’s also a great sketch for newer stampers who want structure – and for experienced cardmakers who want quick, easy, wow results.
