Nesting is part of the most important and crucial set of mechanics this genre of games possesses. It represents an essential component of the dinosaur’s life cycle and constitutes a symbolic stepping stone on the player’s progression. After succeeding in surviving in this hostile environment and growing yourself into the pinnacle of your being, your next objective is bringing to life the future generation of your species, and your duty is no longer just keeping your own safety, but the safety of your herd and/or offspring.

During update 5, this once broken and unreliable mechanic finally got the makeover it deserved, being massively improved and turned into a truly finished and proper component of the game, but overtime something peculiar happened, this particular feature was forgotten and used by no one, why? lets find out.
