At 2:19 a.m. on August 1, 2025, Giovanni Pelletier is seen on a FDOT camera at mile marker 219 (1.26 miles away) crossing Interstate 75 and climbing over a concrete barrier at Exit 217 (State Road 70). Additional footage from a nearby Lowes shows Pelletier coming over the barrier wall and running down the embankment toward the pond where his body was later found. Cell phone data shows the people he was riding with were north of that location at the time Pelletier is captured on video.
