I sat down with moral and social psychologist, Jonathan Haidt, to discuss social media's impact on our human psyche and the effects of "coddling the American mind", which is also the name of his book! In this clip we discussed CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as a way to handle trauma and stress in your life. I'm a big believer of CBT in my practice, using it on my patients to help treat a wide variety of health issues. Anxiety, depression, and a countless number of other mental health issues can be effectively treated by CBT. With social media having such a catastrophic effect on the mental health of college students and teenagers in particular, CBT can go a long way!
