Since May, we've been rolling out the Shelley testnet, working closely with the Cardano developer and stake pool community. After a short period working with a smaller group of community 'pioneers', on 9th June, we opened up the testnet to any stake pool operator who wanted to join. The goal? To help us test and improve the network, while offering pool operators the opportunity to get ready for the deployment of Shelley code onto the mainnet, later this summer.
