Welcome to my channel! My name is Carl Bonnett and I am an emergency physician and Army Veteran. I started a company called Klarisana in 2015 to offer ketamine-based behavioral health services. After four deployments is support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom I was fed up with the veteran suicide rate. At the time I was as far away from a "psychedelic doctor" as you could imagine.

I then read the article by the US Army Institute of Surgical Research that found that the burned service members who received ketamine in order to allow for the debridement of their burns had far less PTSD than those who received traditional medications. In 2015 Klarisana was born and I never looked back. I soon realized that ketamine was very different than any other therapy. It was all about changing one's mental paradigm.

In this channel I want to take ketamine and other psychedelics one step further...I want to look at how they allow someone to change their mental paradigm.

Prior to my life in psychedelics I was an ER Doc. I trained at Denver Health Medical Center Residency in Emergency Medicine and then did a fellowship in EMS / Disaster Medicine at Denver Health. My life was the war on terrorism and homeland security for many years. Prior to medical school at the University of Iowa I enlisted in the Army National Guard. After getting into med school I was commissioned as an officer. Ultimately I got several all-expenses-paid vacations to Iraq (2003), Afghanistan (2007 & 2010) and Kuwait 2012.
