Recently, while browsing the Impostellar server, a community server for VS. IMPOSTOR ALTERNATE, I learned that a mod of the same name was in development, but inspired by VS. Impostor 2025. It's a shame it was canceled. I liked the idea and decided to make a song as a tribute, or a fan-made tribute.

VS. Impostor is a Friday Night Funkin' modification created by Clowfoe and Loggo directed by the IMPOSTORM Team and part of the Innersloth staff, revolving around the popular smash hit 2018 indie video game, Among Us. The mod contains numerous references to not only the game itself, but also several other variants from the community of the game.
The main antagonists of the modification are Impostors, the main antagonists of Among Us. The objective of The Impostors is to kill all the Crewmates and sabotage the setting, while attempting to blend in with the other crewmates and avoiding ejection. Some of the Crewmates appear as opponents.
Vs Impostor is a fan-made mod for Friday Night Funkin (FNF) based on the game Among Us. The mod focuses on Boyfriend battling different Impostors through rhythm-based rap battles, each with unique visuals, story elements, and special gameplay mechanics. Over time, the mod evolved from a simple concept into one of the most ambitious FNF mods ever created, featuring multiple weeks, dozens of songs, cutscenes, custom animations, and advanced mechanics like fake notes, screen effects, sudden attacks, and endurance sections.
Friday Night Funkin', often shortened to FNF,[6] is an upcoming rhythm video game developed by The Funkin' Crew Inc. and released on Newgrounds in 2020.[7] The game is developed by a small group consisting primarily of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game is also open-source.[a] It shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution, PaRappa the Rapper, and the "Dance Contest" minigame from Club Penguin, and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site that rose in popularity in the early 2000s.
The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of opponents in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay involves hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.[11][12] There are currently nine levels in the game, alongside selected songs amongst the nine levels featuring more difficult remixes.
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on October 5, 2020.[13] An expanded demo was released on November 1, 2020, with updates continually released in the following months. A full version of the game backed by Kickstarter, titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game, is in development.[14] On July 15, 2025, the game was released for iOS and Android.[‡ 1]
