To perform this escape you need to get hit on your characters back.
Any WA will let you escape. NOT ALL COMBOS CAN BE ESCAPED.

Most common combos like 2h CS, 1h SS, Murky, 2h Spears cannot be escaped.
Most weapons with a high stun are escapable, such as horizontal UGS, GS, Halberd, Mace, Scythe, etc.
