This video demonstrates several ways to create the very stretchy double-twist cast on, which is great for cuff down socks and other projects where an especially stretchy cast on is needed. The Double-Twist CO is used in the Ranunculus sweater for the larger neck version, because of this stretchiness. This tutorial demonstrates a method that is easier, and more versatile, than other tutorials for this cast on. The stretchiness is compared to three other CO methods: LTCO, German Twisted (Old Norwegian), and twisted Tubular (Italian).
